Happy Monday!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' BLOG and I have a card to share with you that I created.  I am a "fitness coach" and recently had a customer achieve a great success after following a fitness/diet regime with me for 3 weeks.  Since she is a fellow "crafter" I wanted to send her a card to congratulate her on all of her hard work and discipline.  Here is the card I made for her -

To create my card I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' files -

"Workout Girl Cutting files"

My sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "It's All About You" set.

Lisa has created a lot of great fitness related files to play with and I think I will try to create some more cards to have on hand to send out to more of my customers.  Thanks for stopping by today!!

PPPR "Spring Break" blog hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Spring Break" blog hop!!  You should have arrived at my blog after visiting the lovely Nanne.

There are two special freebie files available for free only today and tomorrow (after that it can be purchased in the PPPR store).  The link to the freebie is on Lisa's blog.

Today's blog hop theme is  "Spring Break" and the design team will be showcasing spring and spring break  projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' files.   Here is what I created for the hop -

I created this trio of cards with a spring theme.  I wanted to keep the cards simple and available to be used for a variety of opportunities.  I have been inspired by all of the spring flowers appearing in our yard and our neighbors.  I love tulips especially in a variety of colors.  I have had this background paper in my stash for awhile now and thought it would work perfect for these cards rather than using a stamped sentiment.  Here

To create my cards I used the following PPPR files -

PPPR "Spring Garden" cutting files
PPPR "Stamp Frames" cutting files

***There is blog candy for our hop today*** -

To be eligible for the blog candy, please be a follower of each of the blogs on our hop today as well as leave a comment on each visit too.  You can get extra chances to win the candy by "liking" the PPPR facebook page and/or subscribing to the PPPR Newsletter.

Today also begins a new challenge with Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons -

For more details on the rules of the challenge as well as to link up your entry, please go HERE.  One lucky entry will be randomly selected to win a $20 gift certificate to the PPPR store.

I am the last stop on the hop today but I have included the full lineup in case you missed a stop along the way.   Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a great weekend!!

Tuesday Tip Tutorial - Making Extras

Hello my crafty friends!  It is my turn to post over on the Craftin Desert Divas BLOG today and I have a crafty tip to share with you.  Actually, this is a very practical tip and some of you may already do this, however, as I was doing this myself recently I thought it might be helpful for someone and decided to photograph the process so that I could share it with you all.

My crafty tip involves the concept "making ahead" and "making more than just one at a time".  So, recently I was creating a tag using the cute little turtle from the "Slow" mini stamp set.  I wanted to use the coordinating SVG file to stamp him on.  I opened up my Silhouette software and laid out a bunch of SVG files, not just the turtle, to cut out.  Here is a screen shot of my virtual mat -

I then save that layout in a folder labeled Craftin Desert Divas SVG files.  After I cut out the images with my Silhouette Cameo I then went ahead and stamped all of them.  Now, the reason I make multiples is that sometimes my stamping is off or I make a mistake while coloring or I want to make more than one project using the same image (I think you get the idea, right :-)

Since I keep my stamps in the clear envelopes designed to hold stamps ( several different companies are making these now) , I just tuck my "extra" stamped SVG images on the backside of my envelope -

Now I am ready for future crafting opportunities and I don't have to go cut these images out again.  I don't always use the SVG files, sometimes I want to fussy cut but there are times that I actually like the look of the white border around my image and this is a quick way to get them done.  I hope my crafty tip will inspire you today!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

got Milk?? - PPPR dt

Happy Monday my fellow crafters!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' BLOG and I have card to share.  I love it when I can custom make a card to give to someone specific.  This card is made for a friend who recently spoiled us with a basketful of habanero peppers and some of her homemade hot sauce.  My husband loves his hot sauce and spicy peppers ;) I,however, am a bit intimidated by habaneros.  My hubby put some on a batch of nachos he made for us the other night and boy did they set my mouth on fire!!  That is why I chose the sentiment I did for this card.

To create my card I used the following PPPR files -

I cut out an extra pepper from the hot sauce bottle and added it in with the nachos.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

CDD March Release Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the CDD March Stamp Release Blog Hop. You should have arrived at my blog after visiting our lovely guest designer  Krystal.
All stamps are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Here's what I've created for you...

I created this shaker card using the NEW "Bunny Trail" stamp set for the image and sentiment.  I also used "Outdoor Landscape Dies" for the grass  "The Sky is the Limit" stamps and coordinating "The Sky is the Limit" dies  for my clouds.  I used the smaller Easter egg images in the "Bunny Trail" stamp set to help fill my shaker card up.  The picture below shows the shaker bits.  Along with the eggs I used the new "Pastel Paradies" sequins.

For my second project I created another card.  This time I used the "Chameleon" mini stamp set for my image and sentiment.  I masked off the first part of the sentiment because I wanted to use the thanks die from the "In Line Dies" for the rest of my sentiment.  I cut out the thanks in gold glimmer paper.  I used two other die sets to create this card - "Banner Dies" and "Stitched in Circle Dies".

I punched two holes in my banner and looped some twine through and then popped that layer up on foam tape.
