some close ups -

I created this card using 3 items from the new release -
"Across the Border" stamp set for my snowy background which I embossed with white embossing powder.  I created my blue background with a couple of different distress inks.  I stamped the bird and house image from the "Home Sweet Home" stamp set and the standing bird is from the "Little Birdie" stamp set.

The other items I used for my card are -
"Mix It Up" dies - I used this to stamp my top sentiment on and then cut the end off to fit flush with the edge of my card.   I used a stamp from the "Baked With Love" stamp set for the bottom sentiment.  I used part of a sentiment from the "Chill Out" stamp set for the top sentiment on my card - I just masked off the portion I didn't want to use with some scotch tape.  All the images were colored in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

HB2U - PPPR dt

Happy Monday!!  Today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' BLOG.    I hope you were inspired by our "Happy Holidays" blog hop this weekend!!  Today I have a birthday card to share with you.  It is a rather simple card but it was created especially for my friend who celebrated her 50th birthday this weekend.  She is a baker and I thought this would be the perfect card for her :-)

I used one of the girls from the "Dress Up Girls 1" cutting files.  I cropped her hair shorter to look more like my friend's hair.  The baker's outfit is from "Dress Up Girl Cook Outfit" cutting files.

I used the cupcake background paper since my friend's specialty is baking cupcakes!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  I hope you have been able to do a little shopping during the PPPR sale!!

CDD dt - tutorial 1x8 treat bags

Hello there, today is my turn to share on the Craftin Desert Divas BLOG and I have a tutorial for you.   I wanted to show you how I filled up the 1"x8" cello treat bags with fall colored M&M's for a recent project I did for a past CDD linky party -

To fill the bags with candy -
1.  Create a "slide" with slightly less than 1" by 12" piece of cardstock.  I then scored about 1/4 on either side of the paper to create a chute for the candy to slide down.  I inserted this into the top of the bag carefully -

2.  Don't worry if your candy goes in sideways because as you continue to fill it up and then stand it upright, the M&M's will line up the correct way.

3.  Fill up your treat bag leaving some room for you to seal the top.  I used scor tape and folded my top over to make it secure.

4.  After you have sealed the treat bag, decorate as desired!!

Here is a list of the supplies I used -

Thanks for stopping by today!!  I hope I have inspired you :-)
