Halloween Goody Bags

Happy Wednesday my fellow bloggers!!  I hope you are having a great week so far and that my East Coast followers are staying safe!  Our family has been sending lots of prayers your way!  Today I wanted to share with you the goody bags I made for my youngest daughter to pass out to her soccer and basketball teams.  I was inspired by Jin at Under a Cherry Tree to use the free font for October from Lettering Delights.

I used the letter "o" from LD's Franks Friends Alphabet and used the print and cut feature on my Cameo to cut out the pumpkins.  The treat bags are from Walmart in the jewelry making section - they are a nice size for a small treat.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set "Oct 31st".

PPPR design team post

Happy Wednesday my fellow bloggers!  I hope your week is off to a good start.  I am back with another project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and I have another scrapbook layout for you.  I have to say that I am having a great time using Lisa's files on my scrapbook layouts.  It feels so good to get some scrapbook pages done.  As I mentioned before, I had put my scrapbooking on a shelf for about 5 years due to a major home remodel that my hubby and I did (we put a 2nd story on our house all by ourselves).  I have let go of the idea of "catching up" on all those years and instead am working on the "now".   All of my pumpkins are cut from the Pumpkin Patch Cutting Files.  I created the title myself and the borders were in my scrapbooking stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the PPPR design team's projects HERE.

PPPR Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' Halloween Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from my fellow design teammate Jeanne.  If you didn't start with us at the top of the blog you can head over to Lisa's blog to start at the beginning.  Lisa is offering some great blog candy and in order to be eligible you need to stop and visit each person in the hop today.  There aren't too many of us so it shouldn't take long and I don't think you will be disappointed as you see what each of us has made today using some of Lisa's great files.

I decided to make some cupcake toppers for my project.  I did a print and cut using my Silhouette Cameo and the Halloween Critters Cutting Files along with the Halloween Herringbone and Polka Dot Digital Paper.  I used the ghost from the cutting files and some polka dotted paper to create the border around my ghost.  I have really been enjoying Lisa's halloween files because they are cute and not scary.  I am not really into the scary side of halloween :-)  My daughter helped me put the toppers together with some colored toothpicks and my ATG gun.  If you have never tried making cupcake toppers using the print and cut feature of your machine, HERE is a great tutorial.

All of these yummy looking cupcakes were decorated by my youngest daughter and her friend :-)

Here is the lineup for the blog hop in case you get lost or just want to go back and visit us again :-)  Thanks for stopping by today, have a blessed weekend!!

Cut It Up challenge #4: Create a Halloween/spooky themed project

***for the Cardz TV Stamps "Fall-o-ween Challenge" go HERE***

Welcome back to another Cut It Up Challenge.  This time the challenge is to create  Halloween/spooky themed project.  Don't forget that your project needs to involve a die cut.  I decided to use a file from SVG Attic to create this fun 3d witch's hat.  I am certainly no expert in the art of 3d paper piecing but I do enjoy a good challenge and gluing this cute little baby together was definitely that :-)  The designer paper is from a few random packs of Studio G papers I have in my stash.  The flair button is also Studio G from Walmart.  The button, ribbon and cardstock are all Recollections.  The great halloween twine is from Trendy Twine who happens to be this week's sponsor!!  I love this twine - I fear I may hoard it, I like it so much, LOL!  The rosette is cut from this Lettering Delights file.

Trendy Twine is the sponosr for this challenge.  Check out this awesome prize - don't you want to win this???  Well, get to it now, create a Halloween/spooky project including a die cut and enter the Cut It Up challenge HERE.  While you are at it make sure to check out the rest of the inspiration provided by the Cut It Up design team.

"Bee Careful" - PPPR Design Team Day

Happy Wednesday my fellow bloggers!!  I am back to share another layout I made using some of Lisa's awesome files from Pretty Paper Graphics!  I used the "Honey Bees Cutting Files" for the die cuts - bees, beehive and tree and then I also used the "School Days Pattern Pack" digital paper to create my journaling box.  I did a print and cut using the white lined paper out of the set and cropped it into a rectangle using the Silhouette Software and then printed and cut it out with my Cameo.  However, if you are good with a graphics program like Photoshop you could do something similar and just cut by hand.  The honeycomb background shape is a file I got from the Silhouette Store.  I added a few bee stickers I had in my stash and I regret to say I do not remember what font I used to cut out my title.  Don't forget to visit the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) blog to see the projects from the rest of the design team.

The pictures are from a camping trip we took a few years back.  Withing the first hour of arrival at the camp site, we went on a "nature walk".  My daughter and niece unfortunately stepped on a yellow jacket nest and several of us fell victim to bee stings - even the dog:-(  My youngest daughter is the one crying in the picture. She was determined to never leave the tent trailer for the rest of the trip but we got her out after her uncle bought the "bug guns" so that she and her cousin could catch those nasty bees:-)

Thanks for stopping by today - have a blessed week:-) and stop by for a visit on Friday as I am in a blog hop to celebrate Melisa's blogaversary!

CARDZ TV Ch# 16 "Buttons & Boo's"

Today is the beginning of a brand new challenge for

"Buttons & Boo's!"

Starts: Friday, Oct. 5th@ 12:00 am EST
Ends: Thurs, Oct. 11th @ Noon EST
Details: Create a card, layout or craft project for Halloween using Buttons
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
Winner (chosen by random.org) Announced: Friday, Oct. 12th @ Cardz TV

So excited to show you what I made for this challenge!

I have been wanting to try a "starburst" card for awhile now. After viewing a great video tutorial on how to do a starburst pattern with my silhouette, I decided to make a halloween card using this technique. The cute little "bat" is a chipboard piece from Bo Bunny. I spiced him up a bit with some stickles. The halloween twine is from Trendy Twine - absolutely love it! I used Cardz TV stamp set "October 31st" for my sentiment. It is hard to tell from the picture but I curled my banner for my sentiment to give it more dimension. Added my buttons so that I was "official" for the challenge and VOILA!! A halloween card ready to go! Now it is your turn - can't wait to see what you make:-) Enter your project here to be eligible for the prize!
