Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team Day

Happy Wednesday everybody!!  I hope your week is going well.  We are having some beautiful Indian Summer weather here, in fact the whole month of September has been gorgeous!  Today is my first post as a design team member for Lisa at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  Lisa's designs are so cute and I just love her digital paper designs.  You can check out the rest of the design team's projects here.

I decided to create a scrapbook layout using the "Little Swimmers" cutting files and the "Pool Fun" title .  I love to do 2 page layouts because I am one of those scrapbookers who likes to use as many photos from an event as possible on a layout.  My cardstock is a mixture of Bazzill and Recollections.  The yellow gingham paper is also Recollections and the great water paper is from Joanns open stock.

When I first bought my Cricut and then of course, my Cameo, my intentions were to use my electronic cutters for scrapbooking.  Sad to say I have done few scrapbook layouts since.  Lisa's cutting files inspire me to begin working on my scrapbooking againg because they work perfectly for layouts.

You can sign up for Lisa's newsletter here and that way you will be up to date on all of the new designs that hit the store as well as the weekly free file.  Remember you don't have to own a cutting machine to use these files - they will work perfectly with your digital scrapbooking too.

Cut It Up Challenge #2: "Fall Themed Project"

***for the Cardz TV Stamps Bling challenge go here***
***for the Pause Dream Enjoy Challnge go here***

Welcome back to another Cut It Up challenge.  This week our inspiration is Fall.  Please use the photo below for inspiration.

This challenge is being sponsored by Trendy Twine and My Thoughts Exactly!!  They will be offering a prize bundle to one lucky winner:-)

Here is my take on this challenge -

I used a cut file from Lettering Delights set "Feels Like Autumn".  I used two cuttlebug folders to give my basket more texture and I inked around the edges of my die cut with some Tim Holtz tea dyed distress ink.  I added a few doodles with my white gel pen and popped it up on foam tape.  The crinkle ribbon is homemade and the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set "Garden Greetings".   My patterned paper is from last year's DCWV fall stack and the cardstock is Recollections.  Now it is your turn to enter the fall challenge at Cut It Up Challenges.  Head over to the Cut It Up challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this challenge and to enter your project in the challenge.

PDE Challenges "Play Theme"

***for the Cardz TV Stamps design team challenge go here***

Happy Friday my fellow bloggers!!  This is my last post with the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges Design Team.  My life gets a bit frantic this time of the year as the dance studio I teach for puts on a Winter Ballet and we have rehearsals every weekend.  This is on top of my regular teaching schedule and my kids other activities.  That being said I decided to not stay for the next term but I hope to come back again in the fall because this group of ladies is so sweet and fun to work with.  I just love Janis!!  Anyhow, on to our challenge and my project.  This week our challenge is to create a project with a PLAY theme.  I decided to make a thank you card to give to one of my youngest daughter's friends.  This friend had her over twice this summer for some big and long playdates involving water slides, lunch and a sleepover.  I thought the mother deserved a BIG thank you!!

I used a Lettering Delights file from the "Let's Play" svg set.  I decided to go with a print and cut on this and used my Silhouette Cameo and the designer edition software to accomplish this.  I cut it out twice so that I could create a layered effect by cutting a few of the hopscotch numbers out and layering them with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set "Ticket Talk".  The twine is My Mind's Eye and the cardstock is Recollections.  My patterned paper is printed and is also from Lettering Delights.  Now it is your turn to create a project with a PLAY theme.  Head on over to the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge blog to enter your project and to see what the rest of the design team created for this challenge.  This week's challenge is being sponsored by Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

Ends: Thurs, Sept 27th @ 11:59 pm EST
Details: Create a card, layout or craft project  using LOTS of bling!
Use any theme you'd like, and use any colors you'd like.
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
Winner (chosen by random.org) Announced: Friday, Sept 28th @ Cardz TV

So excited to show you what I made for this challenge!

I decided to make a "shaker card" and really wanted to use the Cardz TV Stamps set "Snow Day". I chose to use this cute snow bear from a Lettering Delights Cut Set "Nancy Happy Holiday". I used two different products for my "shakers" - some larger glitter and some white beads, both from Recollections. I added some more bling to my card with adhesive snowflakes and gems which I colored blue with my Bic Mark It pen. To bling up my card even more I used some stickles around the edge of my sentiment. My background paper has some sparkle too on the snowflakes but it is hard to see with all the other "bling" going on:-) This is my first ever shaker card and I fear I may have put too much glitter inside - my poor bear looks like he is in a blizzard, LOL!!  Now it is your turn - time to get your "bling on" and join us in the Cardz TV Stamps challenge - "Bling it Up!".  Go here to enter your project.

Java Nice Day - 3x3 note card set

Thanks for stopping by today!!  I want to share a 3x3 notecard set I made awhile back using Cardz TV Stamp set "Brew Ha Ha".  I was inspired by all of the neon colors I was seeing in the stores as I took my youngest daughter school shopping:-)   I used 4 different ink colors from my stash to stamp the coffee cup and tried to match up the cardstock and twine color.  I just love this stamp set and have had so much fun playing with it!!

PDE Challenge #37 :"Use Yellow and Reds on your project"

Welcome back to another challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  This week the theme is use yellow and reds on your project.  Okay, I need to explain my project for this week.  First of all let me tell you who is sponsoring this week's challenge -

The design team was given the opportunity to work with one of Squigglefly's digital stamps and I jumped on that chance.  As I perused all the fabulous designs at Squigglefly, I fell in love with this cute little penguin.  I completely forgot the theme of the challenge when I picked out this cute little guy.  So, my first effort for this challenge looked like this -

And then, it hit me - I was supposed to do something in yellow and red!!  I looked back for the challenge info and was reminded of this - Question: What does the word SCHOOL make you think of? Yellow School Buses? Red Apples? Theme: Use Yellow and Reds on your project

Well, I was definitely not going in the direction of school buses and red apples (oops!) but I could go with the red and yellow scheme and so my final project turned out like this -

So, now after all that let me encourage you to join us in this week's challenge - link up your project here.  Remember Squigglefly is this week's sponsor and one lucky winner will win 3 digital files of their choice!!

Redraw of Brew Ha Ha blog hop winner/ DT Announcement

Happy Wednesday my fellow bloggers!!  This is the first full week of school for my kids and the week that the dance studio is back in session so it is crazy here!!  Does the fall feel that way to you too?  I often read about people who like fall, it's their favorite time of the year and I think, "not me - it is crazy and hectic"!  But maybe that is more so for our family since my hubby is a high school teacher and I am a dance teacher and our lives take a major shift every fall with the start of school/dance.

Enough whining, right?!  I have an exciting announcement to share with you!  I have been given the privilege to serve on the very first design team for Lisa at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I have been following her blog for sometime now and am often inspired by her wonderful creations.  Well, not too long ago she branched out and began designing her own line of digital papers, digital graphics and cutting files.  I love her fun style and am so excited and honored to get the chance to work with her.  Make sure you head over to her blog to see who else will be joining me on her design team.  Let me tell you, there is a lot of talented ladies joining me and I am excited to work with them and be inspired and challenged in my own creativity.

Next bit of business - I never heard from my original winner of the Cardz TV Brew Ha Ha blog hop so last nite I used random.org again and drew another lucky winner and that new winner is -

Super neat! I love that you went 3d on this! So many times we get stuck on 2d projects, the cheerful colors are a great addition to the tea box!

Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #36

***For my Cardz TV challenge project please visit here. ***

Challenge #36 :  Include some type of MUSIC on your project

Welcome back to another Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge.  For my challenge project I chose to use music for my background paper - thus my designer paper choice.  This pretty paper came from Michaels awhile back in their dollar section.  I added a pretty frame from Birds Cards for my sentiment which is from a Cardz TV stamp set - "Be My Valentine".   The rolled flower is from Lettering Delights and the leaf flourish is from a teapot file I purchased from the Silhouette store.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team projects as well as enter your project in the challenge by going HERE.  This week's challenge is sponsored by Heather Ellis.  One lucky winner will receive 3 digital images.

Brew Ha Ha Blog Hope Day 2

I love this Cardz TV stamp set so much and it has inspired me to make so many projects, so today I am posting a few more to share with you.  If you missed out on my Day 1 project and my fun blog candy then click here.

Once again, I used a file from the Silhouette store to make this cute teapot shaped cards.  This is a cute file from Samantha Walker.  I used some glossy accents on the leaf flourish, added a few prima flowers and embellished with some silver liquid pearls.  The sentiment is on a tag shape from Bird's Cards and I have used some twine from My Mind's Eye.  The designer paper is K and Company's Watercolor Bouquet.  Of course the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamp Set "Brew Ha Ha" which is what the blog hop this weekend is dedicated to
