Flip Flop Card

Made a flip flop card using an svg from Lettering Delights.  The cute paper was leftover from a pack from the dollar bin at Target from last year.

Feel the Force. . .

okay so I have to admit that the force was not with me in the making of this card.  I had downloaded an svg file for this one.  The neighbor boy's birthday party is today and he is a giant Star Wars fan so I knew this would be a great card for him.  The svg file did not cut the face out all of the way so back to the drawing board.  Found another one from Cheryl  and finally things were coming together.  Layed my cut to far to the left on the mat and a corner was missed so I pieced that one together.  The paper stuck to my mat and shed on it leaving a mess to clean up - probably due to the fact that I restickied (is that a word?) my mat with tack it over.  So this is the end result - it is for a 7 year old who will take one look at it and then move on to the present so why stress out, right:-)?

Ice Cream Card and 3 others

Last night I finally had some free time to "play"!!  I put together this card and 3 others.  Nothing earth shattering but it was some much needed crafting therapy:-)  I have not put any sentiments on these, I want to leave my options open for the time they are needed.  Most of my cards I do not layer too much because quite often I need to be able to mail my cards easily.  Still waiting for summer to show up in Oregon - I think it was here from about 5-7pm last night, lol!

I am entering the ice cream card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #69, create a project with a cool treat.

The neighbor dog got in our house and ran over my blue and white polka dotted paper:-(  The card below is inspired by Cheryl over at Pink and Paper and some cards she has recently made, thank you for the inspiration Cheryl!!

Off to teach 3 more classes, thanks for looking!!

when life gives you lemons. . .

A card I made for a friend using my new cricut cartridge "Just Because Cards".  I have had this stamp set for awhile and needed to make a card with them.  Even though they were a $1 stamp from Joanns I am quite impressed with the quality of them.

I am a bit jealous of the warm temperatures some of you are getting:-)  Here in Oregon it has been rainy and cooler.  We even got rained on during my deep water aerobics class today.  Have a great Monday!!

My Pink Stamper Design Team Entry

Robyn, My Pink Stamper , is having openings for a few new designers to join her design team.  I have been following Robyn for 3 years now and have learned loads from her great videos!!  I own a few of her stamp sets and love the quality of these stamps.  I find it quite intimidating to try out for a spot on her team because she has had some amazing talent on her team but I am up to the challenge to grow in my skills so here we go. . .

Robyn challenged us to make a project using our cricut and the colors orange, turquoise, green, brown and an optional other color - I used yellow

I used my Gypsy to put this card together.  I used the tree from Create A Critter and welded it to a square from George to create the front of the card.  I then cut it out in white to put on the inside of the card creating an area to write on.  The sun is from Doodlecharms.  I stamped the clouds with a stamp from Close to my Heart and then used stickles on the stamped images.  I cut the grass out using my wavy trimmer from Creative Memories.  I inked the edges of my images to help them stand out more.  All the paper is from Recollections from Michaels.  The orange gems are also from Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Freezer Paper Tshirt

My first crafty project in awhile!!  We were on a vacation in Disneyland.  Had fun, it was the first time we had been as a family, first time for my kids.  The end of our vacation looked like this -

So, a set of new tires and an extra nite in California later, we are home safe and sound.  Only to discover that the plug on the freezer had gotten bumped out of the electrical outelt during the chaos of packing for the trip and now I have a chest freezer FULL of bad meat and berries, SAD!!  Almost like a bad vacation movie, huh?!

Anywho, the t shirt is a gift for my former dance student who also was a babysitter (nanny as we called her) for my kids over the years.  We had talked about making this t shirt for far too long and it was time to just "git er dun" so we did:-)   I used the freezer paper technique along with fabric paint.  The logo is an svg I picked up somewhere out in bloggy world - thank you to whomever I got that one from.

I think I would like to give heat transfer vinyl a try as it would have been quicker!  Thanks for stopping by today:-)
